ERICA LOPEZ

Project Manager

Erica is a third-year civil engineering major from Los Angeles, California.
As Social Impact/Culture Manager and Assistant Project Manager, she will work to educate and immerse the PUC team in Indian culture. By better understanding the community, she hopes to establish a collaborative environment that produces a meaningful and sustainable project for Sirupinayur.
Through PUC, Erica is looking forward to utilizing the skills she has learned in her engineering classes in an international project setting. She hopes to focus her studies towards infrastructure materials and humanitarian engineering, and is excited to see how common materials like concrete can impact and improve communities around the globe, and most specifically, the village of Sirupinayur.

 MICHAEL RAMIREZ

Assistant Project Manager

Michael is a third-year civil engineering major from Sugar Land, Texas.
As Project Manager for Team India, he write weekly reports that are issued out to the Service Learning Advisory Board (SLAB) and keeps everyone organized/on-track, helping out whenever a member needs assistance!
He first became acquainted with PUC through a program in the Cockrell School of Engineering called Leadershape, where he developed a life goal of  using civil engineering to strengthen underdeveloped communities by designing homes or other public works. Projects for Underserved communities was a match made in heaven for him, and he is excited to see how their work will make a difference!

VICTOR BUTCHER

Technical Manager

Victor is a fourth-year architectural engineering major from Helotes, Texas.
As a Technical Manager, he will be responsible for drafting 2D and 3D designs for the project. He will be working  to make sure that the design is culturally and environmentally appropriate, structurally sound, and meets building code requirements.
Victor is passionate about cities and using infrastructure to improve people's lives, and joined PUC to turn passion into practice.

ZIA LYLE

Project Logistics Manager

Zia is a fourth-year civil engineering and Plan II student from Austin, Texas.
As Project Logistics Manager and Technical Assistant for Team India, she will create an overall schedule and budget for the project (think planning the short-term and long-term goals) and coordinate with the Technical Manager to help with the design process.  
She joined PUC with the goal of becoming more of a humanitarian engineer. She wants to apply all the technical skills she has learned in class to meaningful projects locally and around the world. Zia hopes to focus on sustainability as a part of civil infrastructure, thinking about equity, economics, and the environment when planning and designing for this project.

AYAH ALOMARI

Team Logistics Manager

Ayah is a third-year civil engineering major from Austin, Texas.
As a Team Logistics Manager, she will be responsible for all in country travel, lodging, and transportation. She will also be in charge of mitigating role work to ensure everyone is doing tasks reflected by their skill level. As Social Impact/Culture Assistant, she will coordinate with the manager to ensure the team is on track with the community needs.
Through PUC, Ayah hopes to apply the theorems and formulas into practice and product. She is excited to learn not only technical field skills, but also to get involved with the Indian community. She hopes to empower a community as her privileges have empowered her.

JANE CLONINGER

Fundraising Manager

Jane is a second-year Chemical Engineering and Sustainability Studies student from Sugar Land, Texas.
As Fundraising Manager, she will spearhead all fundraising and budgeting efforts for Team India. Through HornRasier, profit shares, grant applications, and other sources, Jane will work to make sure the project is fully funded before implementation.
Jane is excited to be a part of Team India because the teams gets to collaborate and seek input directly from the people of Sirupinayur. Furthermore, she will become an experienced fundraiser, which will prepare her to work in the non-profit sector after graduation.

SARAH JARRELL

Communications Manager

Sarah is a senior psychology and social work major who loves being active and spending time with loved ones (including dogs).
As Communications Manager, she will work directly with CASA, our NGO in India. Sarah will be in contact with representatives from CASA throughout the semester as we work to construct a community learning center with our counterparts in India.
Sarah is excited to be a part of PUC’s mission to promote intercultural cooperation. She is looking forward to establishing relationships with the village of Sirupinayur as they work together to provide greater access to education for Irula youth.
